While the AppStore is a gold mine for developers, the Android Market is facing problems with pretty large. As stated in the Skyhook Wireless Survey, there are several reasons for this:
- 82% developer claims that the form of the Android Market is not conducive to the promotion of new applications,
- 57% is not satisfied with the money they earn on the market belongs to Google
- 43% say that sales could be much higher, but if you enter a different payment system (read comfortable) than Google Checkout
- Only 10% of developers serving ads

Additional complication is certainly a great number of varieties available in the OS market, which makes testing applications is very difficult and time consuming.
